How often should your network infrastructure actually be reviewed?
📅 EVERY 6 MONTHS:
Basic health check - firmware updates, access point performance, and coverage spot-checks against current staff numbers and layout.
📅 ANNUALLY:
Full infrastructure review - cabling condition, equipment lifecycle status, capacity against current and near-future headcount, and security configuration review.
📅 AFTER ANY MAJOR CHANGE:
Office move, renovation, new floor, significant headcount growth, or new high-bandwidth systems (e.g. VoIP rollout, video conferencing at scale) - all warrant a fresh review, not an assumption that the existing setup will cope.
Most 'sudden' network problems aren't sudden at all - they're the result of a network that outgrew its original design without anyone reviewing it along the way.
NewExGen offers infrastructure health checks as a standalone service or as part of ongoing ICT Field Services support.
When last was your network infrastructure actually reviewed? If you can't remember, that's your answer. Let's book one.
